Job Description

Sigma Technologies, Ltd., a telecommunications and utility infrastructure engineering firm, seeks a Power Distribution and Make Ready Designer. In this remote role, you will design power distribution and make-ready solutions for broadband and energy clients, focusing on outside plant infrastructure and utility poles. Using GIS and CAD tools, you'll analyze field data, apply NESC and utility standards, and produce constructible design packages. You'll collaborate closely with engineers and project managers in a precise, safety-focused, and learning-oriented environment with clear paths to project leadership. Responsibilities Design power distribution and make-ready solutions for telecom and utility infrastructure projects. Develop pole loading, attachment, and clearance analyses in accordance with NESC and utility standards. Create and update construction drawings, plan sets, and digital design files using GIS/CAD tools. Interpret field data, as-built records, and survey information to produce accurate design packages. Coordinate with internal engineers, project managers, and client teams to refine scope and resolve design issues. Review utility and permitting requirements to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability. Support field teams with design clarifications and updates during construction phases. Maintain organized project documentation and contribute to process and quality improvements.
