Job Description

Position Summary:
Join our growing team as a BIM Technician and play a key role in bringing electrical construction projects to life through innovative technology and collaboration. In this position, you'll create, coordinate, and maintain detailed Building Information Models (BIM) that help drive successful project execution from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working closely with project teams, and making a direct impact on high-quality electrical projects. You'll take ownership of modeling tasks, help streamline coordination between trades, and proactively identify solutions before issues arise in the field. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, update, and maintain accurate BIM models for electrical systems
  • Independently manage assigned projects or portions of larger projects
  • Understand and participate in clash detection coordination efforts with other trades, offering solutions and recommendations
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams to ensure constructability
  • Generate coordinated shop drawings, installation layouts, and prefabrication details
  • Incorporate RFIs, submittals, and field changes into models in a timely manner
  • Assist with planning and layout to support field installation and prefabrication efforts
  • Ensure adherence to BIM standards, project requirements, and company procedures
  • Maintain organized project documentation and model files Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in BIM coordination or modeling (electrical preferred) Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and/or AutoCAD Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals Experience with clash detection and resolving coordination conflicts Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications Experience in electrical contracting or construction environment Knowledge of prefabrication processes Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu or similar tools Understanding of BIM standards (LOD, coordination workflows, etc.
) Proficiency with Revit, Autodesk Forma products, and Windows products
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
