PCI is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for its PCI Albany 576 operations based in Malta, NY . This individual will be responsible for the following duties Attend kick-off meeting with design and/or operations staff at beginning of project to ensure Level of Development, scope, project details, and contract requirements are understood before modeling begins. Create 3D models utilizing Revit. Actively participate i n BIM coordination and design meetings. Develop and model scopes as requested, including, but not limited to, Interior and Exterior Walls, including framing, Ceiling and Soffit Framing, Acoustical Ceilings, Specialty Panels, Raised Access Floor, Clean Room Walls, Clean Room Ceilings, Unistrut, No Fly Zones, and other specialty scopes to the required Level of Development using Revit and other Revit add-on programs. Coordinate with point cloud files. Ensure models produced are spatially coordinated. Escalate any issues to the BIM Coordinator and Design or Operations Team. Identify model and document inconsistencies and bring them to the attention of the BIM Coordinator and the Design/Operations Team to determine appropriate action. Ensure all model elements are fully coordinated within PCI's scope. Perform BIM compliance checks of deliverables. QC model against project documents for discrepancies. Utilize Navisworks Manage to run clash detection and identify potential issues. Use Navisworks to resolve PCI clashes. Attend staff training to enhance staff members' knowledge and expertise of the standardized software. Create and maintain project-specific content to ensure consistency with instructions, guidelines, in-house standards, and the project's BIM standards. Actively engage with the Design and Operations Team to implement best practices in BIM/VDC. Coordinate with BIM/VDC service providers and clients. Provide design support tasks, including but not limited to: processing installation drawings, incorporating comments, and producing details and layout files. Clean, prepare, and organize CAD/Navisworks files for field use. Special projects as assigned.
