PLC Programmer

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PLC Programmer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that automate and optimize manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using industry-standard platforms such as Fanuc and other distributed control systems. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and automation teams to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for system integration. Implement robot programming for automated machinery, including robotics systems like Fanuc robots, ensuring seamless operation within manufacturing lines. Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies, applying problem-solving skills to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of PLC programs, schematics, modifications, and system configurations using AutoCAD or SolidWorks as needed. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing automation workflows and reducing waste through process improvements. Perform regular system testing, calibration, and validation in compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards for regulated environments. Assist in troubleshooting vision inspection systems and integrating them into automated production lines for quality assurance. Qualifications Proven experience programming PLCs with platforms such as Fanuc or similar control systems within a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with robotics programming, especially Fanuc robots, including integration into automated processes. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience applying them to automation projects. Understanding of CGMP standards relevant to regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or biotech. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing or modifying system schematics and tooling layouts. Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex automation issues efficiently and effectively. Pay:

$60,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
