Controls Engineer - Machine Automation All With Control Penfield, NY Job Details Full-time | Contract $95,000 - $110,000 a year 21 hours ago Qualifications PLC-based control system operation Human-machine interface (HMI) systems Process optimization Senior engineer experience Machine troubleshooting Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Control system design Automation implementation in engineering PLC programming Following blueprint specifications Debugging Full Job Description We are looking for a strong Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer who can independently write, debug, and commission control systems for custom automation equipment. This is not an entry-level role. The right person should be comfortable opening a blank PLC project, developing machine logic, building HMI screens, troubleshooting IO, supporting shop debug, and helping bring equipment through runoff and installation. Most of our work is custom industrial automation, controls upgrades, inspection systems, robot cells, vision systems, motion, safety upgrades, and machine builds. We are primarily an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell shop, so experience with Studio 5000, CompactLogix/ControlLogix, PanelView, FactoryTalk View, Ethernet/IP, VFDs, servos, and machine safety is highly valuable. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving real machine problems, can work directly with electrical and mechanical teams, and wants to have a meaningful impact inside a growing automation company. Responsibilities include PLC programming, HMI development, machine debug, electrical troubleshooting support, startup/commissioning, customer support, documentation, and helping improve our internal controls standards.
