PLC/SCADA

Programmer to lead automation projects from concept through startup and commissioning. This is not a maintenance or support position. We're looking for an experienced systems integrator who can take a control narrative, design the software architecture, develop the PLC and SCADA applications, and lead the project through FAT, startup, training, and closeout. Our projects include new greenfield facilities, plant expansions, PLC replacements, and SCADA conversions for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities throughout Florida. What You'll Do Design and develop PLC software from control narratives, P&IDs, and electrical drawings. Develop SCADA applications, graphics, alarming, historian integration, and reporting. Build reusable software using UDTs, AOIs, function blocks, and structured programming techniques. Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), startup, and operator training. Coordinate directly with customers, engineers, contractors, and field technicians. Plan and execute phased PLC migrations and system cutovers with minimal plant downtime. Develop testing plans, commissioning procedures, and project documentation. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and quality. Required Experience 5+ years of PLC programming experience. Strong Allen-Bradley / Rockwell experience (Studio 5000, ControlLogix, CompactLogix). Strong SCADA experience with one or more of the following: VTScada Wonderware / AVEVA System Platform FactoryTalk View SE Ignition Citect Experience programming systems from the ground up—not just modifying existing code. Experience developing reusable software architecture using UDTs, AOIs, or equivalent object-based methods. Experience leading startup and commissioning activities. Comfortable working directly with customers and taking technical ownership of projects. Preferred Experience Municipal water or wastewater treatment Instrumentation and process control Ethernet/IP, Modbus, DNP3, or other industrial communications Structured Text programming SQL or historian systems FAT/SAT planning and execution Electrical design or panel fabrication experience What Makes Someone Successful Here The programmers who thrive at Rocha Controls think beyond writing code. Pay:

$115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
