Job Description

AutoCAD Technician Moreno Cardenas Inc (MCi) Consulting Engineers - El Paso, TX office is currently recruiting for a full-time engineering technician position. A minimum of 2 years working experience in the civil engineering design field is preferred. •Salary is commensurate upon experience.
You will be responsible for:
Prepare detailed substation engineering drawings using AutoCAD software. Develop and revise physical layout drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, grounding layouts, conduit plans, and equipment arrangements. Create electrical drawings such as single-line diagrams. Incorporate engineering markups and redlines into design drawings accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with substation engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Maintain drawing standards in accordance with company, client, IEEE, NESC, and EPE design requirements. Assist in developing drawing packages for construction, procurement, and as-built documentation. Perform quality control reviews to verify completeness, accuracy, and consistency of engineering deliverables. Update legacy drawings and convert hand-marked drawings into electronic formats. Prepare and maintain bill of materials (BOMs), equipment lists, and drawing indexes. Support engineering teams with document management and configuration control processes. Organize and maintain project files within document management systems. Coordinate with civil, protection and control, and transmission line disciplines to resolve design conflicts. Ensure all drawings adhere to company drafting standards, naming conventions, and revision control requirements. Assist with field verification efforts and incorporate field changes into final as-built drawings when required. Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established schedules and deadlines.
Pay:
$32,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
