Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Entry-Level Distribution Designer to support utility infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in electrical technology, civil engineering technology, surveying, GIS, AutoCAD, utilities, or construction who want to build a long-term career in design and engineering. This position offers extensive on-the-job training and a structured development path into utility distribution design. The hourly pay rate for this role is between $22-$30 an hour.

DAY TO DAY
- Create and update utility maps using GIS software
- Support service upgrade projects, including transformer and solar upgrades
- Complete single-pole and transformer replacement designs
- Gather and document field measurements
- Maintain project records and design documentation
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams

- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- AutoCAD, GIS, utility, surveying, electrical, construction, or engineering technician experience preferred
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to learn new processes and follow technical standards
