Job Description The Lab Service Engineer will support Lam Research's Applications Lab and R D operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and calibration on semiconductor equipment. This individual will work closely with Process Development, Hardware Engineering, and Software Engineering teams supporting prototype systems, customer demonstrations, and new technology development activities.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical, robotic, pneumatic, and system-level issues.
• Support prototype equipment installations, upgrades, and engineering development activities.
• Work in cleanroom environments while following all safety and PPE requirements.
• Support customer demonstrations, evaluations, and engineering lab operations.
• Develop procedures and technical documentation for prototype and R D systems.
• Perform equipment calibration and system performance verification.
• Provide field and customer support when required.
• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

• 5+ years of semiconductor equipment experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance experience on semiconductor tools.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with robotics and automated systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and motion control systems.
• Familiarity with Digital Volt Meters (DVMs) and diagnostic equipment. Ability to support preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and calibration activities.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred - nothing higher, that will make them too experienced
• Background as an auto mechanic
• Automotive repair or electro-mechanical maintenance background.
• Experience supporting R D, prototype equipment, or engineering lab environments.
• Previous experience with semiconductor manufacturers or equipment companies.
• Experience supporting field service or customer-facing technical activities.
