About the Role We are looking for a Senior Electronics Technician to join our Electrical Engineering team. This hands-on role supports the development, testing, and production of advanced battery systems through PCBA assembly and rework, cable fabrication, board programming and testing, and maintenance of the EE lab. The ideal candidate can work independently from drawings, schematics, sketches, existing hardware, or verbal engineering direction and execute work safely and accurately without requiring every task to be fully documented in advance. What You'll Do Assemble and rework prototype and production PCBAs, including engineering-directed modifications and component replacement. Fabricate, modify, and repair high- and low-voltage cable assemblies, prototype cables, adapters, and test fixtures. Program, configure, and test PCBAs using documented procedures and automated or semi-automated test equipment. Inspect incoming cable assemblies and electronic assemblies for workmanship and perform repair or rework as needed. Serialize and track PCBAs, configurations, modifications, test results, components, and other engineering hardware. Maintain and organize the EE lab, including components, PCBs, tools, equipment, materials, and inventory. Operate and maintain electronics lab and prototyping equipment, including soldering/rework equipment, test equipment, and FDM 3D printers. Support electrical engineers with prototype builds, engineering development, testing, and production needs. What We're Looking For Several years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician or in a similar prototype or engineering-support role. Excellent hand-soldering and PCBA rework skills, including fine-pitch and small surface-mount components; QFN and BGA rework experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of soldering and rework techniques, including hot-air rework, preheating, flux selection, and PCBA cleaning. Demonstrated cable and wire-harness fabrication skills, including crimping, connector assembly, and inspection; familiarity with industry workmanship standards preferred. Working knowledge of common electronic components and their key electrical and physical characteristics. Proficiency with common electronics test equipment, especially digital multimeters and basic electrical measurements. Able to interpret schematics, drawings, work instructions, sketches, and verbal engineering direction. Comfortable with spreadsheets, including data entry, tables, sorting, filtering, and basic formulas. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while following established engineering processes. Nice to Have Formal IPC soldering, rework, or cable/harness workmanship training or certification. Experience operating and maintaining FDM 3D printers. Experience programming and configuring embedded electronic hardware or executing automated PCBA test procedures. Experience working in a prototype, R&D, battery, automotive, aerospace, robotics, or other hardware-development environment. Other Requirements Safety Ability to work safely in an electronics laboratory and manufacturing environment, including around 400-1500 VDC systems, while following established safety procedures and PPE requirements. Physical Ability to perform precision electronics work and move throughout a laboratory and manufacturing environment, including occasionally lifting and carrying materials up to 30 lbs and pushing or maneuvering carts. Export Control Lithos Energy is expanding its capabilities to support programs that may involve U.S. export-controlled technology and technical data. This position may in the future require access to information or hardware subject to U.S. export control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Any such access will be managed in accordance with applicable U.S. export control laws and authorization requirements.
