These engineers will play a critical role in supporting enterprise customers, ensuring uptime and optimal performance of mission-critical systems. Each engineer will be assigned to one market (Atlanta, Chicago, or Columbus, OH) and cover customer locations within a defined service area radius.
  • You must reside within the greater Chicago area and you must be comfortable traveling around the metro area to provide support at various customer sites.
This will mostly be 1st shift (8am-5pm) but will also include occasional 2nd shift work (4pm-12am) with some overnight potential as well. Mostly 1st shift though. Responsibilities Onsite Technical Support Install, configure, implement, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Dell ISG Storage products at customer sites. Provide technical and administrative support directly to customers Interpret customer needs, clarify responsibilities, and ensure timely resolution of issues. Collaboration & Escalation Partner with subject matter experts to resolve complex technical problems. Apply troubleshooting tools, technical knowledge, and analytical practices to identify and resolve issues. Escalate when necessary, while maintaining ownership of customer satisfaction. Problem Solving Work on issues of moderate scope requiring varied analysis. Apply judgment within defined procedures to determine the best course of action. Contribute to investigations and provide recommendations for long-term solutions. Requirements Bachelor's degree with2+ years of professional experience, or an advanced degree with no prior experience, or equivalent work experience. Prior hands-on experience with Dell ISG Storage solutions, including: DataDomain PowerScale VxRail (SABA Level 3 minimum training required) Willingness and ability to pursue advanced certifications (SABA Level 5) over time. Additional product training expected for
ECS, PMAX/VMAX
(SABA Levels 2-5) and other Dell ISG Storage platforms as needed. Must possess reliable personal transportation. Ability to travel within assigned service area (mileage averages will be provided). Work Schedule & Flexibility Support of 24x7 business operations with schedule flexibility required. Engineers must be available for various shifts, including:
Day Shift:
8:00 AM
  • 4:00
PM Evening Shift:
4:00 PM
  • 12:00
AM Overnight Shift:
12:00 AM
