Position Summary We're looking for a Senior/Lead Controls Engineer to own the technical direction of control system development for vehicle applications using Model-Based Design (MBD) methodology. This role combines deep hands-on controls work with technical leadership: guiding architecture decisions, setting MBD best practices, and mentoring other engineers on the team. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and validation of control algorithms in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow Own and drive adoption of Model-Based Design methodology and best practices across the team Lead development and calibration of vehicle speed control systems Architect and guide drive-by-wire control system design from concept through production Lead technical design reviews and make key architecture and implementation decisions Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers Serve as a key technical point of contact with customers/OEMs on controls-related topics Drive root-cause analysis and resolution for complex issues found during bench/vehicle testing Help plan and allocate technical work across the controls team Establish and enforce version control and issue-tracking workflows (Git, Jira) Required Qualifications Strong proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow, with a track record of production-level work Extensive experience applying Model-Based Design methodology, including leading MBD efforts on prior programs Preferred Qualifications Proven experience developing drive-by-wire systems Proven experience developing and calibrating vehicle speed control systems Experience with New Eagle products and the Raptor development toolchain Nice to Have Familiarity with high-voltage systems General Requirements Strong experience with version control and issue-tracking tools and workflows (Git, Jira) Demonstrated ability to lead technical work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment Experience mentoring or leading other engineers

$90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
