Job Description

Are you mechanically or technically minded? Do you like figuring out how equipment works? Are you good with your hands, comfortable using a computer, and the type of person who pays attention to details? You do not need previous gas detection or calibration experience. We will train you. CT Industrial Products is looking for a dependable, technically minded person to join our team in Union, Missouri . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical, electrical, electronics, manufacturing, maintenance, HVAC, equipment repair, or similar experience who wants to learn a specialized technical trade. Our team works with portable and fixed gas detection equipment used by industrial customers to help protect their employees and facilities. What You Will Do Your day will include a variety of technical, service, and shop responsibilities: Learn to calibrate and test portable gas detection monitors Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose gas detection equipment Perform routine service and maintenance on monitors Follow detailed calibration and service procedures Record calibration and service results accurately Prepare equipment for return shipment to customers Receive, inspect, organize, and box customer equipment and orders Assist with shipping and receiving Answer basic customer technical questions by phone and email Help customers with basic equipment questions and product information Communicate with customers regarding equipment status, service, and repairs Assist technicians with repairs and diagnostics as you develop your skills Maintain an organized, clean and professional work area Perform other related technical and service duties as needed The position is primarily based in our Union, MO shop. Occasional additional duties or training may involve other CT Industrial locations or customer-related activities. What We Are Looking For We are looking for the right person—not necessarily someone who already knows gas detection.
You should be:
Dependable and punctual Mechanically or technically inclined Comfortable learning how equipment works Detail-oriented and able to follow procedures Comfortable working with computers and basic software Organized and able to keep track of multiple pieces of equipment Comfortable speaking with customers in a professional manner Able to troubleshoot problems logically Willing to learn new technology and technical processes Able to work independently once trained A team player who takes pride in doing work correctly Experience That Could Be a Great Fit You may be a particularly good fit if you have experience in: Equipment repair Industrial maintenance Manufacturing Electronics Electrical work HVAC Mechanical repair Instrumentation Controls or automation Automotive or equipment service Field service Technical customer service Military technical/maintenance positions Technical school or vocational training Previous gas detection, calibration, or instrumentation experience is helpful but NOT required.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
