division is currently seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer. This hybrid position that is based out of our Moon Township, PA Eaton location and offers benefits from day one. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: The Senior Electronics Engineer will be part of Embedded Systems group and lead verification and validation activities for Eaton's circuit breaker and protection systems. This position's primary function will be to: Serve as the technical and project lead for verification and validation of new product development projects and product line support activities. Design and drive the testing automation framework. Lead and provide training for the global V&V teams. Participate and facilitate process improvement and changes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop verification and validation (V&V) strategies, plans, and procedures for embedded firmware, hardware, and system-level testing.
- Analyze product requirements, functional specifications, and applicable industry standards to derive verification requirements and ensure complete traceability.
- Design, develop, automate, and maintain verification test cases, test scripts, and test frameworks for embedded protection systems.
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and release testing for electronic trip units and associated circuit breaker products.
- Validate communication interfaces and interoperability, including industrial communication protocols and configuration software.
- Develop and maintain automated test systems and laboratory equipment to improve testing efficiency, repeatability, and coverage.
- Investigate, reproduce, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis of hardware, firmware, and system-level defects.
- Review system requirements, software requirements, architecture, and design documentation to ensure testability and verification completeness.
- Verify compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and industry standards, including UL, IEC, CSA, ANSI, and Eaton engineering processes.
- Maintain complete verification documentation, including test plans, procedures, execution records, defect reports, traceability matrices, and validation reports.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, DFMEA activities, and technical reviews throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior V&V engineers and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of verification methodologies, test automation, laboratory capabilities, and engineering best practices.
- Support field issue investigations, customer problem resolution, and corrective/preventive action activities.
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, systems engineering, manufacturing, quality, product management, and program management teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
