Job Title:
Data Center Energy Marshal 5 Job Description We are seeking an experienced Data Center Energy Marshal to oversee the energy isolation program on a construction site for systems with stored energy. This role requires you to ensure all activities related to energy isolation are coordinated and executed according to established policies and procedures. You will work closely with construction and commissioning teams to validate the installation, operation, and performance of MEP systems. Responsibilities Ensure safe working conditions by reviewing documentation such as procedures, job hazard analysis, and permits. Audit the energy isolation program for construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operations activities. Collaborate with teams to ensure safe conditions for testing and validating MEP systems. Manage electrical infrastructures throughout the data center campus. Validate general contractor safe work practices and Lock Out Tag Out procedures for various voltage levels. Trace electrical power through redundant systems to validate a zero-energy state. Support and hold accountable the General Contractor and Vendor Technicians to policy. Collaborate with Environmental, Health, and Safety teams to drive excellence in hazardous energy control. Train new and existing employees in Energy Isolation processes and procedures. Communicate effectively with Project Management and Trades Persons on the project. Operate in a commercial construction site environment with knowledgeable individuals. Essential Skills Strong experience with control of hazardous energy, risk assessments, and work procedure review. Understanding of electrical theory and practical application in critical electrical equipment. Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation. Practical experience with Lock-out/Tag-out and verifying MEP systems in a zero-energy state. 10+ years of experience in relevant fields. Additional Skills & Qualifications Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction. Significant electrical experience. Experience in commissioning and data center environments preferred. You will require a laptop, docking station, headphones, and personal protective equipment such as a vest, cut rate 4 gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and composite toed boots. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Malaga, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $92.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
