Job Description

Three Rivers Community Action is seeking detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Application Processors to support the Energy Assistance Program (EAP). This role helps local households access energy assistance services by reviewing applications, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the application process. Our Energy Assistance Program serves thousands of households each year, helping individuals and families maintain safe, affordable home energy. About the Role The Application Processor (Energy Assistance Program Specialist) reviews and processes Energy Assistance applications, ensuring information is complete, accurate, and compliant with program requirements. This position maintains participant records in eHEAT, Laserfiche, and other required systems while providing application assistance and administrative support. Working closely with participants, vendors, contractors, and fellow team members, you'll play an important role in helping local households access critical energy assistance services. This temporary full-time position (40 hours per week) is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, and based in Zumbrota. One of the biggest benefits of this position is the seasonal schedule. Energy Assistance applications are generally processed from September through May, giving employees the opportunity to enjoy time off during the summer months. Various factors will affect the actual end date, but the position is expected to last no more than 6 months. Successful employees may be invited to return for future Energy Assistance seasons. What You'll Do Review and process Energy Assistance applications for completeness, accuracy, and eligibility Maintain participant records and documentation Assist participants by answering questions and providing excellent customer service Process correspondence, referrals, and other program-related documentation Support outreach activities and administrative functions that help ensure successful program operations What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Two years of customer service or related experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Experience with Microsoft Office and other business software, or the ability to quickly learn new systems Compensation & Benefits Starting wage of $19.00 per hour Eligibility to participate in the agency's 403(b) retirement plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Why Three Rivers?
