full-time About us Plasiv is building a digital manufacturing platform with discrete event simulation as a core module. We're hiring engineers who can do both halves of the job: walk a factory floor, find the real constraint, then build the model that proves out the fix. The role Half of this job is on the floor. Time studies, line walks, finding where the bottleneck actually happens. The other half is in the model, turning what you observed into a DES model and running scenarios that show what throughput is really achievable, so customers can make capital decisions based on that work. You'll do it on live engagements using the Plasiv DES tool, which makes you the first serious user of the simulation module we're building. You'll tell us what's missing and what would cut model build time in half. What you'll do Walk customer floors: time and motion study, line balancing, constraint identification, downtime analysis Build and validate DES models of assembly, test, packaging, and logistics Calibrate models against observed actuals, then defend the assumptions in front of the customer's operations team Set the modeling standards and reusable component library our platform generates models from Turn simulation output into decisions: cost per unit, OEE impact, capex avoided What we're looking for 5 to 10 years combining industrial engineering and simulation. We need both Real floor experience. You've run improvement projects and made changes that stuck after you left Hands-on Plant Simulation, FlexSim, or AnyLogic, including scripting (SimTalk, FlexScript) Range across domains: automotive, semiconductor, electronics assembly, or similar high-mix or high-volume environments Nice to have Comfortable coding. Python at minimum, working in Git Fluent with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in daily work Why this one is different Simulation work is usually a service function - a study comes in, a report goes out, none of it compounds.
