Field Engineer or Field Architect - Building Enclosure (Entry Level)- Detroit, MI| Facilities Service Line | Terracon Are you looking to launch your engineering career with handson field experience and meaningful project work?
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
What You'll Do As a Field Engineer/Architect, you'll support consulting, testing, and diagnostic services for building enclosure systems across multiple markets. Your work will include a blend of field and office responsibilities, such as: Conducting field investigations, observations, and inspections Assisting with engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations Supporting the preparation and review of technical reports Reviewing construction documents for compliance with plans and specifications Helping develop project proposals, cost estimates, and tracking project budgets Researching and resolving design and construction challenges Reviewing and evaluating field or lab data Communicating technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders You'll work on projects across sectors including public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
