Engineering Intern I/II Location:
Lemont Furnace, PA, US, 15456 Advanced Acoustic Concepts, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary Thales Defense & Security Inc., is a technical leader in the fields of sonar systems, sonar signal processing, acoustic training systems, and open architecture system and software integration. The venture focuses on emerging areas in the undersea warfare domain where the customer has identified mission-critical needs. The company will have multiple openings for 2026 Summer Engineering Internships in Lemont Furnace, PA. The internships will be for up to 12 weeks beginning in May through August.

Job Title:
Engineering Intern Position Summary:
Summer Engineering Interns will work closely with and assist engineers in conducting various engineering assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct limited scope engineering work under the supervision of engineers in one or more of the following areas: Hardware Design Hardware Testing Quality Assurance Procurement Material Management Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers Completing assigned tasks on time Gather and assemble data for engineers May be required to help in research in a particular field Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers Assist engineers with appropriate design details Wok collaboratively with the team and develop a productive network Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn Ability to carry out work instructions that will support learning and understanding the fundamentals of the company Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively Inquisitive and eager to learn new things and develop new ideas
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 20 lbs. up to 25% of time
Walking:
up to 25% of time
Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping:
up to 10% of time
Sitting:
