Lead Space Manager Exyte United States, Arizona, Chandler Sep 01, 2026 Discover your exciting role The Lead Space Manager is to provide continuity between all inter-design disciplines requiring space for routing of services within a project area or building. The position will often lead to defining the design coordination for the areas and spaces taken by the designed systems, subsystems, equipment or other engineering systems in space management and/or tool install project task. A Lead Space Manager will lead in pre-assigning the required spacing to the engineering disciplines and tracks the usage, pre-assigns tool POCs, defines routing of systems and subsystems in the areas. Space Management task is essential for the coordination in common areas, where no identified system user/owner leads the coordination effort and is a team effort and a mandatory activity within our engineering and construction projects throughout the globe. Provides facility space requirements as well as the main functional facility routes and the required space (plan and elevation) for main headers, sub-mains and laterals for process utility systems and their common distribution areas by collaborating with the Project Discipline Leads
Develops space requirements as well as typical sections of common areas for planning purposes including identifies limitations concerning critical services such as process gravity drains, low-point concerns, maintenance areas and clearances, etc. while considering structural and seismic requirements.
Develops all utility routes, support systems, and fixed building structure between disciplines including serve as the discipline and client POC to make space management decisions and monitor alignment to the SM plan while working closely with BIM coordinators to drive routing conflicts to resolution.
Participates in weekly designated workgroup meetings and raises issues related to client's requirements, constructability, code requirements and reviews for OSM efforts.
Partners w/Design Manager and/or Project Manager to resolve issues and ensures all AR's are tracked, dispositioned, closed, and logged prior to package release.
Other duties as assigned will be dependent on building use, client type or other.
Show your expertise Minimum Required 8+ years of Construction and/or related discipline with experience in all facets of base build systems and/or manufacturing equipment installs.
Experience in Advance Technology Facilities (ATF) design, i.e. semiconductor, photovoltaic, tool installation, and commercial construction
Ex:
Electrician, pipe-fitter, plumber, sheet metal.
Good knowledge and understanding of industrial processes and software; e.g.:
BIM / VDC
Experience
Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD & Inventor.
Experience with Navisworks to integrate models for clash detection and inter-discipline coordination.
Experience in design constructability, ensuring that coordinated work is installed safely and will meet or exceed Exyte's quality standards.
Have broad technical knowledge, with hands-on experience coordinating various systems in established and new construction environments; i.e. tool install field and construction space management.
Experience in implementing safety in design, creating an Incident/Injury Free Workplace (IFW) working environment, ensuring every goes home safe.
Proven experience, preferably on large teams and industrial construction in BIM Coordination / Space Planner position.
Ability to present ideas and solutions to the client and client representatives.
Maintain strong relationships and communication with vendors and customers to understand requirements and monitor projects and assignments in relation to cost, quality, and schedules.
Diligence to solve problems and finish the work in a structured manner, Global mindset and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment
Ability to conduct weekly Space Management / Tool Install Meeting with all disciplines
