Job Description

onsemi is seeking a dynamic and organized Director of Power MOSFET Technology Development to lead the development and qualification of cutting-edge silicon Power MOSFET technologies for Artificial Intelligence factories and automotive power conversion applications. This leadership role is critical to driving innovation and commercialization of next-generation power semiconductor devices and smart power solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of power electronics, device physics, TCAD simulations, device layout and fabrication processes, combined with leadership and communication skills to guide teams and collaborate with cross-functional department Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in medium and low voltage power semiconductor device development and processing. Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and complex technology development programs. Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—with the ability to influence and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams. Experience with systematic risk management and problem-solving methodologies such as FMEA, DOE, 8D, and RCCA. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage conflict constructively. Willingness to travel and work across time zones to support global teams. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of device, process integration and industrialization engineers. Drive the development and qualification of next-generation Power MOSFET technologies and initial product implementations. Define and execute technology and product roadmaps aligned with business objectives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Operations, Business Units, Program Management, Product Line Management, and Quality & Reliability. Lead cross-functional decision-making processes and ensure alignment across teams. Proactively manage risks and leverage best practices and lessons learned to ensure successful project execution. Identify and address potential reliability and manufacturability concerns early in the development cycle. Communicate project status, risks, and forecasts effectively to internal teams and executive leadership. Represent the organization in technical and strategic discussions with internal and external partners.
