Chief Engineer

Overview The Chief Engineer leads the engineering department, ensuring all technical operations, maintenance, and projects meet organizational goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Management Supervise and mentor engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff Assign tasks, set goals, and evaluate team performance Coordinate across departments (operations, production, management) 2. Technical Oversight Plan, design, and oversee engineering projects Approve technical drawings, plans, and system designs Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions 3. Maintenance & Operations Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, systems, or facilities Develop preventive maintenance schedules Minimize downtime and improve system efficiency 4. Budgeting & Planning Plan long-term upgrades and capital projects 5. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Maintain safety standards and conduct inspections Implement risk management and emergency procedures 6. Reporting & Documentation Prepare reports for senior management Maintain technical documentation and records Track KPIs and performance metrics
