Senior Vice President, Global Technology Jazwares, LLC - 3.9 Plantation, FL Job Details 2 hours ago Qualifications AI models Team leadership Enterprise solutions implementation Managing IT teams AI platforms (beyond public GPTs) Machine intelligence Bachelor's degree Managing projects Senior leadership Full Job Description Position Summary The Senior Vice President, Enterprise Applications, Data & Digital (CTO) is one of two direct reports to the EVP of Global IT, operating at peer level with the
VP, CISO.
This executive owns the full lifecycle of the company's enterprise application portfolio and the IT governance and PMO infrastructure that manages the overall technology investment portfolio. At a global toy manufacturer and distribution company, this portfolio is not a support function — it is the operational and commercial engine of the business. The ERP system runs order-to-cash and financial close. The WMS tells the warehouse floor what to pick and ship. The B2B customer portal is a product that customers use daily and whose quality directly influences retention. And the AI program is becoming a competitive differentiator in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and intelligent automation. The SVP is simultaneously the executive accountable for delivering these capabilities reliably today and for building the intelligent capabilities the company needs to compete over the next three to five years. That dual accountability — operational delivery and strategic transformation — defines the character of the role and the profile of the leader it requires. Reporting and Key Interfaces Direct line to

Active Member, AI Executive Committee:
VP, AI chairs the committee; SVP has an executive voice on AI program status, investment, and risk Interface with CF&OO organization: IT retains ownership and operation of the enterprise data platform CF&OO's BI and reporting team consumes the data platform under a formal service agreement Data governance is a joint accountability between this SVP and CF&OO's organization Business unit relationships: Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain all consume services from this SVP's portfolio and co-own application roadmaps Global SVP directing company investment and priorities, IT, ERP, Business Intelligence, Continuous Business and Process Improvements all reporting to an Executive IT PMO Steering Committee with C-Suite participation and authorization Core Responsibilities 1. Enterprise applications strategy and delivery The SVP owns the end-to-end lifecycle of the company's enterprise application portfolio: strategy, vendor selection, implementation, enhancement, integration, and eventual modernisation or replacement.
ERP platform:
own the strategic direction, vendor relationship, and enhancement roadmap for the company's ERP system (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics). Govern the annual ERP licence agreement, system integrator relationships for major implementations, and the programme of continuous improvement across finance, OTC, P2P, and inventory management modules
Warehouse Management System:
own the WMS platform strategy, vendor contract, and enhancement programme. The WMS is the most operationally exposed application in the portfolio — a WMS outage stops warehouse operations in real time. The SVP is accountable for platform stability, integration with carrier and ERP systems, and the roadmap that evolves WMS capability as the DC network grows or changes CRM and sales enablement: own the Salesforce or equivalent CRM platform, including sales process automation, account management capability, and integration with the B2B customer portal B2B digital commerce: own the customer-facing digital portal as a product, not just a system. This includes the product roadmap, customer experience design, integration with order management and inventory systems, and the commercial relationship with the platform vendor. The portal's quality directly affects customer retention and share of wallet Integration architecture: own the enterprise integration strategy across APIs, iPaaS platforms, and EDI connections to carriers, suppliers, and customers. The integration surface at a global distribution company is vast — governing it requires both technical standards and commercial discipline with integration platform vendors Application security: maintain a working relationship with the CISO to embed security into the SDLC, release governance, and vendor application deployments. Ensure application teams participate in security review processes without creating delivery friction 2. Artificial intelligence- Initially Member of the Executive AI Committee and over time potential to direct the AI global team's efforts The SVP is the executive accountable for the company's AI strategy and delivery. This is a board-level topic — institutional investors, audit committees, and large customers ask about AI capability, governance, and risk. The SVP represents those answers alongside and increasingly without the EVP.
AI strategy:
develop and maintain the company's AI strategy, including use case prioritization, build vs. buy vs. partner decisions, and investment planning. Ensure the AI programme is sequenced to deliver near-term operational value while building the long-term platform capability the company needs AI platform and
MLOps:
through the VP of Artificial Intelligence, own the AI platform infrastructure — the model training and serving environment, the MLOps tooling, and the hyperscaler AI agreements (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or equivalent). GPU compute decisions and cloud AI committed-use agreements sit with this SVP commercially ML and predictive analytics: own the portfolio of machine learning models in production, including demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, carrier selection, and order anomaly detection. Hold the VP of AI accountable for model performance, accuracy, and refresh cadence GenAI and intelligent automation: own the GenAI programme including large language model applications, document processing automation, and the RPA portfolio. Govern the pipeline of GenAI use cases from pilot through production, ensuring appropriate risk assessment before each deployment Data engineering and platform: own the enterprise data platform that feeds all AI and analytics workloads — data pipelines, the data lake or lakehouse architecture, feature stores, and data quality governance. This platform also provides the data foundation that the CFO's BI team consumes under service agreement AI governance: serve as executive sponsor for the AI governance programme. Through the AI Governance Director (seated within the PMO function), own the use case approval process, the AI ethics and risk framework, and the AI risk register that feeds the executive AI Steering Committee AI security interface: coordinate with the CISO on AI security standards. The CISO sets policy on model risk, third-party AI tool vetting, and data leakage controls; this SVP ensures the VP of AI implements those standards within the AI programme 3. IT strategy, PMO, and enterprise architecture The SVP is the executive sponsor of the IT governance and programme management function, which governs the overall IT investment portfolio across both SVP domains.
Portfolio governance:
through the VP of IT Strategy & PMO, own the IT programme portfolio — project prioritisation, investment tracking, resource allocation, and stage-gate governance. The PMO's largest programmes are almost exclusively applications and AI initiatives; having the governance function under the delivery SVP eliminates the chronic misalignment between programme governance and delivery accountability Enterprise architecture: co-chair the Architecture Review Board with the EVP or designate, setting the standards for how applications integrate, what the API strategy is, which technology choices are sanctioned, and how the overall technology stack evolves. Ensure AI platform architecture decisions are reviewed through the ARB rather than bypassing it IT finance and vendor management: through the VP IT Strategy & PMO's vendor management function, own the commercial governance of the IT portfolio's largest vendor relationships — ERP licence agreements, WMS contracts, system integrator relationships, and AI platform agreements. Hold vendors to contractual SLAs and govern renewals with commercial rigour AI governance programme management: the AI Governance Director within the PMO function reports to the VP IT Strategy & PMO and coordinates directly with this SVP. Ensure AI governance processes are embedded in the standard PMO stage-gate framework rather than operating as a parallel track Change management: own the IT change management capability that governs how new application and AI capabilities are introduced to the business. At a distribution company, poorly managed application changes in the WMS or ERP carry direct operational risk 4. Vendor and commercial management The SVP carries the largest and most complex vendor portfolio in the IT organisation. Commercial discipline at this level has direct financial and operational consequences. ERP vendor relationship (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft): own the enterprise licence agreement, the support and maintenance contract, and the relationship with the vendor's account team. Multi-year ERP licence agreements at this company size are typically $5-15M annually; the SVP is the senior accountable party WMS vendor relationship: own the WMS software licence, support contract, and product roadmap relationship. WMS vendors often offer significant leverage on roadmap features in exchange for reference customer commitments; the SVP governs those strategic exchanges System integrator relationships: own the relationships with the primary SI firms (Big 4 consulting, Accenture, Deloitte, or specialist distribution SIs) engaged on ERP, WMS, and AI implementation programmes. Govern SI delivery quality, commercial terms, and knowledge transfer obligations Hyperscaler AI agreements: own the Azure, AWS, or GCP AI platform agreements, including committed-use contracts, reserved capacity, and FinOps governance for AI workloads. AI compute costs can scale rapidly without active governance Digital commerce platform: own the B2B portal platform vendor relationship, including licence, SLA, and roadmap co-development commitments 5. Business partnership and stakeholder engagement This SVP's portfolio touches every major business function. The role requires executive-level business partnership, not traditional IT account management.
Operations and supply chain:
primary IT relationship for the COO and VP Supply Chain on WMS strategy, AI-driven optimisation, and DC technology roadmaps
Finance:
primary IT relationship for the CFO on ERP strategy, financial systems integrity, SOX ITGC compliance for application change management, and the data platform service agreement that underpins the CFO's BI capability Sales and commercial: primary IT relationship for the Chief Revenue Officer or VP Sales on CRM strategy, digital commerce roadmap, and customer-facing technology investment Executive AI sponsorship: represent the AI programme to the CEO, CF&OO, Board and our ultimate parent company, Berkshire Hathaway or their designee, as required, alongside the EVP, Global Technology. Ensure AI investment proposals are framed in terms of business value, risk, and competitive positioning rather than technology capability
