The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, MBSE/SysML, mission engineering, and systems architecture development. They'll work closely with A5PX and other government stakeholders, lead digital engineering and mission modeling efforts, and serve as a technical mentor for the team. Candidates should have strong communications systems experience, active Cameo certification(s), and either possess or be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Here is the Job Description.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Mission Engineering and MBSE Activities
  • Develop and maintain mission engineering and systems architecture models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Support development of Mission Engineering Threads (METs), Joint Mission Threads (JMTs), and operational mission architectures aligned to mission objectives and operational requirements.
  • Translate operational concepts, mission needs, and engineering requirements into executable MBSE models and digital engineering artifacts.
  • Support mission engineering analysis activities, including operational architecture development, systems integration analysis, and mission-based assessments.
  • Support establishment and sustainment of mission engineering modeling environments and engineering workflows. Cameo SME and Training Support
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Cameo Systems Modeler and MBSE methodologies.
  • Train team members on Cameo, SysML, and mission engineering best practices.
  • Support onboarding and development of modeling capabilities across engineering teams.
  • Provide guidance on model organization, traceability, configuration management, and collaborative modeling practices.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of collaborative modeling environments, including Teamwork Cloud or similar platforms where applicable. Systems Integration and Operational Collaboration
  • Collaborate with mission engineering, communications, NC3, analytics, and operational teams to ensure alignment with mission objectives and operational requirements.
  • Support interoperability and integration activities across systems, organizations, and mission domains.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, technical teams, and mission partners to support engineering and architecture objectives.
  • Support engineering activities across unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI environments..
  • Assist with alignment of mission engineering products across Joint Force, Air Force, and external stakeholder organizations. Technical Architecture and Engineering Support
  • Develop operational, systems, technical, and data architecture products supporting mission engineering efforts.
  • Maintain traceability between mission requirements, operational activities, systems, and technical solutions.
  • Support architecture-based mission analysis, modeling and simulation (M&S), and operational assessments.
  • Contribute to development of reusable engineering products, architecture artifacts, and mission engineering datasets.
  • Support configuration management, model integrity, and quality assurance of engineering products. Continuous Improvement and Operational Effectiveness
  • Identify gaps in MBSE workflows, modeling standards, and engineering collaboration processes.
  • Drive improvements in mission engineering efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
  • Support development of team capabilities through mentorship, accountability, and training.
  • Support integration of analytics, data-centric engineering, and digital engineering methodologies into mission engineering efforts. Additional Qualifications
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler required.
  • Active Cameo certification(s) required.
  • Demonstrated experience with MBSE and SysML methodologies.
  • Experience developing mission threads, operational architectures, or mission engineering products.
  • Strong communications systems background required.
  • Familiarity with NC3, strategic communications, or mission-critical operational environments preferred.
  • Experience training or mentoring personnel on Cameo and MBSE practices.
  • Familiarity with UAF/DoDAF frameworks preferred.
  • Experience with Teamwork Cloud (TWC) preferred.
  • Modeling & Simulation (M&S), analytics, or data analysis experience preferred.
  • Air Force or nuclear mission background preferred.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time. Clearance Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Required Education and Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant technical degrees.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience utilizing Cameo Systems Modeler in support of MBSE, systems engineering, or mission engineering activities.
Work Requirements:
    Hours:
    8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon-Fri (typical). Due to the nature of the business and depending on specific mission schedules, the employee will be required to vary typical work hours.
    • Occasional weekend work could be required.
    • Occasional travel will be required.
    • Position will primarily support onsite activities.
