- Job Overview
- We are seeking a motivated Prototype Build Engineer to support prototype vehicle build programs from concept through execution.
In this role, you will coordinate prototype build activities, support design and manufacturing teams, and help ensure build quality, timing, and program success. This opportunity is ideal for early-career engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving, collaboration, and working in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will gain valuable exposure to vehicle development processes while contributing to high-visibility engineering programs.

- + Lead part procurement activities for prototype builds across multiple programs + Coordinate supplier issue resolution to support project timelines + Provide prototype design support throughout build phases + Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) + Develop process sheets and build instructions for operators + Troubleshoot and resolve build floor issues impacting quality, engineering design, manufacturing processes, and timing + Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams + Support prototype vehicle build planning and execution + Utilize engineering and program management processes to track build activities + Prepare presentations and communicate project updates to various levels of management •What's Needed?
- + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline + 0-5 years of engineering experience + Basic knowledge of vehicle build processes + Basic experience with CATIA V5 and/or NX + Familiarity with TeamCenter + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications + Strong leadership and communication skills + Program management and organizational abilities + Ability to present information effectively to management and cross-functional teams + Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills •What's In It for Me?
