Job Description

Cotterman Company and Conveyor Components Company, divisions of Material Control, Inc., are seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to support engineering operations, lead product design initiatives, and guide a team in developing high‑quality industrial products. Key Responsibilities Oversee new product design, prototyping, testing, and release. Support and mentor engineering staff; assign tasks and manage project timelines. Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Inventory Control. Ensure accuracy of CAD models, drawings, and product documentation. Provide technical support to Sales and assist with department hiring and training. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Mechanical Engineering preferred). 3-5 years of 3D mechanical design experience. Experience leading or supervising engineering staff. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office and engineering design software. Ability to travel domestically as needed. Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check, which may include drug screening, physical examination, criminal history check, education verification, employment history review, and reference checks is required.
