Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Manager specializing in AS9100 standards to lead our quality assurance initiatives within the aerospace manufacturing sector. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our quality management system to ensure compliance with industry-leading standards. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, uphold rigorous quality standards, and foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all production processes. Duties Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the AS9100 quality management system to meet aerospace industry requirements. Conduct comprehensive internal and external quality audits to verify adherence to
AS9100, ISO
9001 and any other relevant standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and monitor quality control procedures that align with regulatory and legal compliance standards. Drive root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for non-conformances identified during inspections or audits. Implement Lean management and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Provide leadership in training staff on quality assurance protocols, regulatory updates, and best practices in quality systems management. Qualifications B.S. Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering required. BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field preferred. 12+ years experience in quality engineering leadership. (Aerospace preferred) Proven experience practicing in a engineering role within aerospace or highly regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals. Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards coupled with
ISO 9001.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits and implementing QA/QC procedures across complex manufacturing environments. Familiarity with quality inspection techniques including GD&T and advanced analysis skills for defect investigation. Experience leading cross-functional teams with excellent communication skills to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Certification in Six Sigma manufacturing or Lean management is highly desirable. Ability to analyze data effectively to identify trends and implement strategic solutions that improve overall product quality and process efficiency.
