Conceptual Engineering Manager CO2/H2 Linde - 3.6 Tonawanda, NY Job Details Full-time $140,000 - $180,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Professional ethics Full Job Description Linde Engineering North America LLC Conceptual Engineering Manager CO2/H2 Tonawanda, NY, or The Woodlands, TX, United States | req27138 What you will enjoy doing• You will be responsible for defining and assessing technology and overall plant solutions for Hydrogen and CO2 project opportunities in the Americas region and evaluate gas supply options across a range of applicable production technologies You will also support and provide input to the Global Tech Product Management organization to ensure Hydrogen and CO2 product offerings consider optimization for US specific project opportunities and customers Provide support to internal engineering team for partnership development during early concept phase with Electrolyzer, SMR and CO2 vendors, explore opportunity for collaboration and deepening the relationship Further, you will lead concept development activities and conduct economic evaluations of solution options by developing a strong understanding of client and cluster requirements, including impacts on customer processes Interface with Business Development to explore opportunities to expand project scope You will lead the creation of Project Specifications (PS Documents) in partnership with the customer and provide input to the process deliverables, simulations, and cost/performance details for proposals, working closely with internal engineering teams Also, you will develop preliminary conceptual capital estimates and provide performance inputs for option screening Work closely with LEA Equipment and Conceptual Design teams to verify technical solutions and confirm optimal pricing, and performance assumptions Support customer presentations and participate in client knowledge‑acquisition sessions You will ensure strong linkages, alignment, and correct inputs across all involved stakeholders and perform on an ad‑hoc basis What makes you great You will have a BS degree in Chemical Engineering or similar You have 8+ years of technical experience in industrial gas process plant engineering and project execution. Experience with plant design, process engineering packages, or proposal development is highly desirable You will apply your strong technical expertise in CO₂, CCS, and hydrogen production technologies and leverage your experience with renewable technologies, electrolyzers, and fuel cells Preferably, you have already gained experience with process concepts, simulations, and techno‑economic evaluations Experience interfacing with customers, vendors, and cross‑functional engineering teams Familiarity with project economics, financial requirements, and modeling, with a fundamental understanding of supply‑scheme economics You challenge and improve the status quo with respect and integrity, and a continuous‑improvement mindset You demonstrate strong verbal, numerical, and reasoning skills, and communicate technical and market information clearly through very good oral and written communication Why you will love working with us Linde Engineering Americas (LEA) is a member of the Linde Engineering Division of Linde plc.
