Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Professional to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the construction, real estate development, and mechanical contracting sectors. This role focuses on early-stage project identification, relationship-building with key decision-makers, and positioning the company as the preferred mechanical contractor for new construction, retrofit, and energy-efficiency projects. The ideal candidate will have strong market intelligence capabilities, industry knowledge, and the ability to build long-term strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities Project & Opportunity Identification Identify and track new construction projects at the pre-bid stage Monitor and analyze RFPs, tenders, and procurement postings Map upcoming real estate and infrastructure developments Identify retrofit and energy-efficiency upgrade opportunities Research competitor positioning, strengths, and market strategies Strategic Market Development Develop targeted customer lists and market-entry strategies Identify emerging markets aligned with company capabilities Support the sales and estimating teams with strategic insights and opportunity prioritization Strengthen company positioning in mechanical contracting and energy services Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers including: Facility Managers, Property Managers, Project Managers General Contractors MEP Consultants Architects Developers Procurement Heads Government officials and political stakeholders Strategic Partnerships Develop and nurture partnerships with: General contractors HVAC equipment manufacturers and suppliers Green building consultants ESCOs (Energy Service Companies) Property management firms Maintenance supervisors and directors Contract Strategy & Negotiation Support strategy development for service contracts and maintenance agreements Assist in negotiation and structuring of long-term service partnerships Help position bundled mechanical and energy solutions Core Objectives Build sustainable, long-term client relationships Position the company as the preferred mechanical contractor Strengthen customer-focused sales strategies Expand recurring revenue through service and maintenance agreements Increase market share in construction and energy retrofit sectors
