About The Opportunity Lead and supervise plant engineers and technicians to develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and systems. Ensure efficient production, high product quality, and continuous improvement activities are aligned with company goals and safety standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to support new product introductions and process changes. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Oversee equipment selection, installation, and maintenance planning. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Manage capital projects and budgets related to manufacturing engineering. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues. Provide guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions, coordinate outside contractors and vendors. Ensure new project compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA requirements. Prepare and implement the departmental budget. Other duties as assigned. Education/Certification Level Required Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering Level Desired Master's Degree Experience to be considered in lieu of education Work Experience Required 5 years of relevant work experience 5 years of supervisory experience Desired 2 years of experience with LEAN or CI involvement #ORBIS #LI-MR1 Two companies, one vision.
