Project Manager / Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction Western Oregon | Take Projects from Bid to Build | Established Contractor Build It. Manage It. See the Results. Ready to take full ownership of heavy civil projects—from the first quantity takeoff through final completion? I'm partnering with a highly respected heavy civil contractor that has served Western Oregon for more than four decades. With a strong reputation, established client relationships, and a steady pipeline of work, the company is looking for an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to strengthen its excavation division. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both winning work and successfully delivering it. You'll estimate a diverse range of civil projects, help develop the strategy behind each bid, and manage awarded projects through completion. What You'll Own Prepare competitive estimates for excavation and heavy civil construction projects Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and site development Review plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents Develop accurate labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions Manage awarded projects from preconstruction through final closeout Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports Monitor production, job costs, and overall project profitability Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation Work closely with Superintendents and field crews to keep projects moving Build strong relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors Ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget What You Bring 5+ years of Project Management and/or Estimating experience in heavy civil construction Strong experience with excavation, earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and civil site development Experience estimating and managing public and private civil projects Oregon or Pacific Northwest construction experience preferred Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and contract documents Strong understanding of equipment utilization, crew production, and heavy civil construction methods Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills A driven, hands-on mindset with the ability to take ownership and deliver results Why This Opportunity Stands Out Join an established contractor with more than 40 years of success in Western Oregon Take ownership of projects from bid through final completion Work with an experienced leadership team and respected field personnel Step into a stable position backed by a strong reputation and consistent project opportunities Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive benefits and retirement package Paid time off Long-term advancement and professional growth If you're ready to put your estimating and project-management experience to work with a proven Western Oregon contractor, this could be an outstanding next step in your career.
