division is currently seeking an Engineering Manager - Molded Case Circuit Breakers. This role will take place at our office in Moon Township, PA (Pittsburgh area) and we are able to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates within the United States. The primary purpose of this position is to provide engineering leadership for the Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) products and direct management of the local engineering staff. The main responsibilities of this role include supervising direct reports, providing technical direction, maintaining product certifications, driving NPI and sustaining activities, planning project schedules, maintaining product line metrics, and tracking department budgets. This position reports directly into thePCD MCCB
engineering leader in Moon Township, PA. The individual is part of the MCCB leadership team and responsible for collaboration with the appropriate teams at the manufacturing facilities to ensure all NPI and product line support activities are fully executed. The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. engineering team focusing on new product development, product line extensions, product performance improvements, production holds, certification, and sustaining activities.- Support and drive MCCB innovation activities, product line and technology roadmapping and innovation activities through technical guidance and prioritization of engineering resources.
- Manage and direct resources to resolve product issues relating to yield, quality, warranty, component performance, resiliency and third party product holds.
- Analyze & track key performance metrics, develop activities and action plans to improve metrics, establish resources and schedules, and drive activities to completion.
- Ensure engineering resources utilize standard design principles and leverage latest engineering technologies to meet performance requirements and third party certification standards.
- Manage direct reports and budgets, conduct performance reviews, establish goals and development plans, drive knowledge transfer, and build organizational capability.
- Communicate and coordinate engineering activities and needs with the operational support groups and leadership teams to ensure alignment and effective use of divisional resources.
- Drive Six Sigma Design & Development, digital analytical tools, and root cause analysis / corrective action usage on new product development and sustaining activities to ensure robust products and solutions.
- Ensure appropriate product documentation, design standards, regulatory standards (UL, IEC, CSA, etc.) and material related specifications are met and maintained throughout the product life cycle.
- Develop and monitor product validation programs to ensure product robustness and performance levels exceed customer and regulatory standards requirements and establish actions to address issues.
- Establish knowledge retention, standard operation procedures and leveraging best practices with plant PLS engineering teams and Santo Domingo Design Center teams for training and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5 years of experience in new product development or product sustaining of industrial/mechanical products.
- 3 years of experience as a leader of people.

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 7 or more years of related experience in Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) product design and development.
- Design For Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
Skills:
- Ability to motivate and drive problem solving techniques for root cause identification and development of permanent corrective actions.
- The ability to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of mature safety products in the world of rapidly changing technology and lean organization.
- Strong technical understanding of low voltage circuit breakers, MCCB emphasis, along with the applicable certification standards. Direct knowledge of MCCB products, design principles, performance requirements, and applicable third party certification standards, along with the latest engineering and manufacturing process related to respective product lines.
- Understanding of the product development process and
UL/CSA/IEC/ANSI
certification requirements.- Good cross-boundary perspective to communicate and coordinate with other product line-engineering managers, plant managers, and marketing managers.
