Job Description

Overview/Risks MTF Biologics processes tissue grafts from human donors that are used in a growing array of clinical applications - positively affecting lives across the globe. As a global nonprofit organization that saves and heals lives by honoring donated gifts and serving patients, we collaborate with the medical, scientific, as well as organ and tissue donation communities. Our goal is simple-do what's right for patients, surgeons, tissue donors, and their families through our guiding principles. Oversees direct reports and drives strategic projects focused on enhancing process efficiency at the Jessup facility. Responsibilities Responsibilities include managing the budget, establishing goals and priorities for assigned PE staff, and ensuring that team members are properly trained and competent. The PE Manager builds strong cross-functional partnerships through clear, effective communication within the Process Engineering team and with internal customers. This role regularly collaborates with leaders across departments, providing technical leadership and guidance to Process Engineering personnel who support Business Units and New Product Development for precision grafts (P3). Qualifications Develops goals and prioritizes work for engineering personnel reporting to him or her. Generates annual performance reviews, goals reviews, and provides recommendations for performance bonus based on completion of established goals. Conducts competency and training with each employee. Collaborate with R D on the transfer of processes to manufacturing. This includes project management, process development, process validation, training and documentation. Ensures meeting precision graft project timelines associated with internal and external customer commitments. Initiates, plans, facilitates and monitors strategic projects aimed at improving productivity and finished goods quality, while reducing cost on existing lines of tissues. Implements cost and quality improvement projects, and using his or her technical expertise develops metrics to track and verify the success. Collaborates with the Director of Engineering to develop and submit the Capital and Expense budgets in Board. Manages budget to actual reporting to Finances. Designates/allocates engineering staff and resources to interdepartmental teams and projects. Conducts one-on-one meetings and staff meetings with the direct reports. Performs additional duties as assigned.
