This position requires you to work with a growing civil engineering group on a diverse variety of projects. Project work currently includes civil site development for new and redevelopment sites, grading design, storm water management (hydraulic and hydrologic design, certification, and permitting), sanitary and storm sewer evaluation and rehabilitation, domestic water distribution design, low impact development and green infrastructure design. Job Description Details:
Lead and execute design projects with a team of engineers Bring projects to successful completion on time and budget Assist management with finding and pursuing new project opportunities Work with management to identify growth opportunities and prepare business development plans Mentor less experienced team members Assist marketing with proposals. This includes development of project teams, schedules, budgets, and other proposal documents Develop, maintain, and grow a client list in your area(s) of expertise Performing other duties as assigned Direct and/or lead survey crews to collect field data
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Wisconsin - or close to obtaining one Minimum 8 years of experience in the design of civil infrastructure &/ or land development Experience with public and private sector clients and projects Experience in various civil design principles. Example may include site planning, local roadway and parking lot design, stormwater management and permitting, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, site demolition, erosion and traffic control, grading, water systems, storm and sanitary sewer conveyance and facilities, and other general municipal and private sector infrastructure Experience in engineering design, construction inspection, contract administration, project management, marketing, and business development Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team atmosphere and lead design activities including engineering services during construction. Good team leadership skills Experience serving long-term and short-term clients and known for maintaining positive relationships. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D. At minimum a strong background knowledge of this software with the ability to lead design teams and troubleshoot CAD related issues as they arise Ability to travel as required Valid Driver's License and good driving record required
