Contract Duration:

12 Months Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education. Desired Skills & Experience Enterprise cryptography and cryptographic asset management PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and trust services Key management systems and HSMs Cryptographic inventory and discovery platforms Security architecture and system integration Proof-of-concept and pilot execution Post-quantum cryptography readiness and migration planning What You Will Be Doing Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel. Evaluate technical capabilities of vendors responding to the Cryptographic Discovery and Cryptography Posture Management RFP. Participate in solution scoring and technical due diligence activities. Design, build, and execute proof-of-concept and pilot environments for shortlisted vendors. Validate cryptographic discovery coverage across certificates, keys, protocols, PKI infrastructure, and related cryptographic assets. Test integrations with enterprise data sources and systems of record to validate inventory, ownership attribution, and operational workflows. Assess solution scalability, coverage, operational fit, and implementation requirements. Produce technical findings, architecture recommendations, and implementation plans for leadership review. Support transition from evaluation to deployment planning and production onboarding efforts.
