We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Director of Project Delivery to lead the successful execution of our project portfolio, ensuring operational excellence across fielding, engineering, design, permitting, and client delivery functions. Position Summary The Director of Project Delivery is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of telecommunications and utility infrastructure projects. This individual will lead project managers, engineering teams, field personnel, and cross-functional resources while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate combines strong operational leadership with project management expertise and has a proven track record managing complex telecom and utility projects in a consulting, engineering, or field services environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Program Leadership Lead a portfolio of telecommunications and utility projects from initiation through completion. Ensure consistent project execution across fielding, engineering, design, permitting, and construction support activities. Establish project delivery standards, processes, and performance metrics. Drive accountability for project schedules, budgets, quality, and client satisfaction. Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact delivery. Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor Project Managers, Team Leads, Engineering Managers, and Field Operations personnel. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer service. Support workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives. Develop leadership capabilities across delivery teams. Client Relationship Management Serve as an executive-level point of contact for key clients. Build trusted relationships with telecommunications carriers, utility providers, and engineering partners. Participate in client reviews, business development discussions, and contract negotiations. Ensure exceptional customer experience and proactive communication throughout project lifecycles. Financial Management Maintain responsibility for project portfolio profitability and operational performance. Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, revenue recognition, and forecasting. Identify opportunities to improve margins, efficiency, and resource allocation. Collaborate with Finance and Executive Leadership on strategic business planning. Operational Excellence Develop and improve project delivery methodologies and best practices. Establish KPI dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track performance. Drive process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, and scalability. Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and industry regulations. Strategic Leadership Partner with executive leadership on long-term growth initiatives. Support expansion into new markets, services, and client accounts. Contribute to organizational strategy and operational planning. Help position MobileMap as an industry leader in telecom and utility engineering services. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, GIS, or related field. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in project delivery, engineering operations, telecommunications, utilities, or infrastructure services. 5+ years leading managers, project teams, and cross-functional organizations. Proven experience managing large-scale telecom or utility engineering projects. Strong understanding of fielding, outside plant (OSP), fiber design, utility infrastructure, permitting, and engineering workflows. Demonstrated success managing budgets, forecasting, and operational performance. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred PMP certification. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with fiber broadband deployments, utility modernization, or network infrastructure programs. Experience with GIS, CAD, telecom design platforms, or utility engineering software. Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
