Formed in 1993, CFAN is a 50/50 Joint Venture between GE Aviation & Safran Aircraft Engines of France. The partnership was created to introduce composite fan blades in a GE90 Engine that powers the Boeing 777. Job Duties/responsibilities:
The Engineering Product Owner is responsible for a specific part type in its entirety to include, but not limited to: (1) industrial performance, (2) continuous process improvement, (3) rate readiness, (4) configuration control, (5) external interface, and (6) engineering leadership. For example, this individual would be responsible for a ship-level part number such as 2051M72 in its entirety.
Essential Job Functions:
Improve the Industrial Performance of a single part type by leading an engineering team. Industrial performance would include such items as: Scrap, Rework Cost, MRB, Standard Cost, Material usage, Lean, and EHS Lead Process Improvement initiatives such as: Action Tracker, 5-year Roadmap, Capex investment, and Six Sigma Ensure Rate Readiness by monitoring and maintaining a Capacity analysis, Tooling plan, and NPI/Quoting Maintain Configuration Control of critical documents such as Drawings, CIDs, Models, Routers, BOMs and ECNs Act as an external interface for our Customers. Support key suppliers by mentoring engineering team members. Provide Engineering Leadership through Mentorship and Engineering team Career Development. Guide the essential Skills Matrix and the Hiring Process. Competencies Thoroughness Organizational Skills Ethical Conduct Detailed Oriented Time Management Strong Analytical Skills Strong drive for project closure Good communication skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Performing the duties of this job will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand when necessary; mostly requires sitting and working on computer/phone. Have sufficient mobility to navigate in an industrial environment and to observe factory processes. Required Education and Experience BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Materials Science/Chemical/Aerospace) or Chemistry Minimum 6 years' experience in Engineering or Manufacturing Statistical analysis capability Technical drawing and documentation interpretation SOP (Planning) interpretation/preparation Project management experience Desirable Qualification Aerospace manufacturing experience Technical experience in epoxy bonding materials, metallurgy, and composites Technical personnel management APQP experience Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
