JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, ensuring products meet established standards for quality, reliability, and performance. This role drives the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The Quality Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and suppliers to enhance operational efficiency, reduce defects, and maintain a strong culture of quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSDevelop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable standards Ensure QMS is integrated into all operational processes Oversee inspections, audits, and testing of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods Establish and maintain quality control procedures, plans, and standards Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies Train, mentor, and develop quality staff while promoting company-wide quality awareness Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards Maintain quality documentation and present reports to leadership Collaborate with suppliers and conduct supplier quality audits Partner with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, supply chain) to achieve quality objectives
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field Minimum 5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies Experience with quality management systems, software, and statistical analysis tools Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Professional certifications (CQE, CQM, Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent leadership and communication abilities across all levels of the organization Proven ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards Customer-focused mindset with the ability to resolve quality concerns effectively Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence outcomes Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to work in both office and industrial settings Comfortable conducting site inspections, including walking, climbing, standing, and stooping Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Willingness to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear Regular, predictable attendance required
