Based on Experience Are you an engineering leader who excels at building high-performing teams, driving new product development, and creating structure within growing organizations? We're partnering with a well-established manufacturer in Oak Creek, WI seeking a Director of Engineering to lead a small multi-disciplinary engineering team and drive innovation across a specialized industrial product portfolio. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape engineering strategy, improve execution, and make a lasting impact on the business.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of mechanical and electrical engineering professionals
- Own and drive new product development initiatives from concept through launch
- Establish project management discipline, milestones, and accountability measures
- Accelerate product development timelines and improve engineering execution
- Partner closely with sales, operations, and executive leadership to align business and engineering objectives
- Provide both strategic leadership and hands-on technical guidance as needed
- Evaluate and leverage external engineering resources to support growth initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong track record of successful new product development and commercialization
- Ability to bring structure and process to organizations undergoing transformation or growth
- Confident communicator who can drive accountability and navigate difficult conversations
- Player-coach leadership style with a willingness to remain technically engaged
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
