February 28, 2027 Position Overview We are seeking Accessibility Remediation Technicians to support a large-scale document remediation project. The selected candidates will be part of a dedicated team responsible for identifying and correcting accessibility issues in static documents such as PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and other electronic files. This position is well suited for an individual with general IT skills, strong computer proficiency, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn and consistently apply new software tools and technical procedures. Work Arrangement Remote Candidates must be local to the Atlanta, Georgia area Candidates must provide their own computer/equipment High-speed internet access required Ability to remotely access organizational systems through WebLink Key Responsibilities Participate in training related to PDF accessibility and document remediation procedures. Learn and use specialized software to identify and correct accessibility issues. Review assigned PDF and electronic documents and complete remediation tasks according to established procedures. Modify document elements such as tags, headings, lists, reading order, tables, links, images, and document properties. Use automated accessibility-checking tools to identify potential issues. Perform manual quality checks on completed documents. Coordinate document uploads and replacement of non-accessible files. Work with supervisors to resolve questions and unfamiliar document issues. Escalate complex documents or issues that require advanced remediation. Follow established workflows, procedures, and remediation standards. Maintain accurate records of assigned work and remediation status. Organize electronic files according to document-control procedures. Process a high volume of documents while maintaining accuracy and productivity. Incorporate quality-review feedback into future work. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Perform other technical and project-support activities as assigned. Required Qualifications General knowledge of computers, software applications, and file management. Strong computer proficiency. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro or other PDF editing software. Experience with document processing, data entry, records management, quality assurance, or other high-volume production work. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of digital accessibility concepts. Familiarity with accessibility standards. Familiarity with assistive technology. Experience with PDF accessibility remediation. Experience using automated accessibility-checking tools. Experience working in a document-control or quality-assurance environment. Experience handling confidential or sensitive documents.
