Job Description

Staunton River High School is seeking a part-time SOL Remediation Coordinator to assist with organizing and supporting remediation efforts for students preparing for Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) assessments.

Responsibilities

Coordinate SOL remediation schedules and student participation.

Work with teachers and administration to identify students needing additional support.

Organize students into appropriate remediation groups.

Help locate students and ensure they report to scheduled remediation sessions.

Track remediation attendance and follow up with students who miss sessions.

Communicate schedules and student needs with teachers, tutors, students, and families as appropriate.

Assist with coordinating remediation materials and resources.

Provide direct student support or remediation when needed.

Perform other remediation-related duties as assigned.

Schedule

Part-time with flexible and varying hours based on student needs.

Approximately 20 hours per week when needed.

The greatest need will be immediately prior to and during SOL testing windows.

Qualifications

Experience working with students preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and students.

Dependable, flexible, and able to manage changing schedules and priorities.

Experience with tutoring, remediation, or SOL preparation preferred.
