Maintenance Engineer - Full Time/Varied Shift - •
TEMPORARY LOA COVERAGE
•(90 Days)
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations/Facilities, or his/her designee, the Engineer will be responsible for maintenance and repair of power distribution systems, emergency generators, medical gas piping networks, fire sprinkler systems, steam boilers, hot water boilers and related pumps, HVAC systems, communications systems, mechanical systems and sewage and drainage systems in a timely manner in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures. Order parts and document orders. Must be able to perform duties unsupervised.
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Vocational training in related job fields. Must have the ability to read, write and understand English.
Experience:
6 years experience in plant operations and maintenance preferred. Must possess knowledge and technical skills required for the repair and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, fixtures, devices, and applications. Must possess the technical knowledge and skill to perform minor carpentry work and repairs. Licenses and/or
Certifications:
State of California Certification for handling of refrigerants preferred. Auto CADD certified or equivalent experience. Varied Shift 1.0
