- Position Summary
- The Poromerics Area Maintenance Reliability Engineer is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability across the Poromerics Area. This role provides technical leadership for maintenance strategies, asset improvement programs, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems.
- Manage equipment reliability metrics including MTBF, MTTR, and asset availability.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
- Develop maintenance standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate contractors and maintenance service providers.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, environmental, and company safety requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve plant performance.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Experience with
CMMS/EAM
systems such as SAP, Maximo, or MaintainX.- Knowledge of root cause analysis and reliability tools.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CMRP, CRE, Six Sigma, or related certifications.
- Experience in chemical, manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, or industrial operations.
- Knowledge of vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and condition monitoring technologies.

- Working Conditions
- Manufacturing and industrial environment requiring regular plant inspections, occasional off-hours support, and adherence to PPE requirements.
