Mechanical Engineer HVAC - Summer Intern

Veterans Preference In this role you will Use software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or others) to produce technical drawings and schematics. Assist in the design and modeling of HVAC systems for healthcare and/or federal projects. Help perform HVAC calculations Support the creation of detailed HVAC system designs, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts. Collaborate with senior engineers on system integration and equipment selection. May participate in site visits. Research and analyze new HVAC technologies and innovations to improve system performance and sustainability. Work in partnership with a multi-discipline team of engineers, architects, and designers to help produce constructible drawing packages. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements In pursuit of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Junior or Senior year student preferred. Previous internship or project experience is a plus but not required. Reads and understands technical drawings, schematics, and other relevant reports. Effective communication including verbal, written, non-verbal, and speech. Cooperative attitude and collaborative approach. Open to feedback. Able to respond appropriately to directions and change requests. Critical thinking and reasoning with the ability to forecast and analyze problems and produce solutions. Effective execution of tasks within scope and schedule.
