Job Description

We're expanding our team and seeking a skilled Plumbing/HVAC Engineer who is passionate about creating efficient, reliable, and well‑coordinated mechanical systems. If you enjoy solving technical challenges, collaborating with clients, and delivering high‑quality engineering solutions, this role is an excellent opportunity. Key Responsibilities Design HVAC systems , including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork layout Design plumbing systems , including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty piping Ensure compliance with mechanical and energy codes Prepare construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs Conduct site investigations and support construction administration Represent the firm in meetings with architects, clients, contractors, and project partners Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering PE license preferred (not required) 5+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing building systems design Ability to independently produce design work and contract documents Experience assisting clients with mechanical system planning and coordination Strong project management skills (scope, schedule, budget) Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and energy codes Strong communication, self‑management, and interpersonal skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + overtime paid at 1.0× hourly rate 100% employer‑paid Medical and Dental Insurance (employee coverage) 401(k) with 3% company match Paid time off: 2 weeks vacation + additional days after 5 years (up to 3 weeks at year 10) 1 week paid sick time Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve (half‑day), Christmas Day Complimentary Sam's Club Membership (two cards) YMCA Corporate Membership Program with partial employer contribution
