- We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of commercial buildings.
The role involves handling work orders that may include light drywall repair, light electrical repair, basic plumbing or HVAC troubleshooting, general custodial duties, painting, cosmetic repair, trash, and snow removal. Additionally, maintaining records of all repairs and maintenance performed is essential.
- Responsibilities
- + Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial buildings.
+ Execute work orders involving drywall, electrical, plumbing, HVAC troubleshooting, painting, and cosmetic repair.
+ Conduct general custodial duties including trash and snow removal.
+ Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
+ Communicate effectively and utilize basic technology to update change orders and progress.
- Essential Skills
- + 1+ years of commercial building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. + Strong communication skills and proficiency in using technology for change orders and updates. + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. + Competence in HVAC service, preventive maintenance, planned maintenance, plumbing, and painting.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience in light carpentry, including finishing. + Skill in drywall repair and light electrical work. + Ability to perform custodial tasks and manage work orders.

- Work Environment
- Work in commercial offices located in Downtown Rochester, including Innovation Square, One East Ave, The Met, and Seneca Building.
The role operates on a 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for on-call duties once trained. Employees are expected to have their own basic tool box, with company support for any repairs needed. Upon direct hire, a company vehicle is provided for commuting directly to work-sites.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $24.
00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
