Job Description

Selmet, a PCC Structurals company, is seeking a Plant Facilities Engineer to support our titanium casting operations for aerospace and defense customers. In this role, you will own the performance, reliability, and improvement of plant utilities, building systems, and production support equipment. You will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage facilities projects and contractors. Working closely with EHS and operations, you'll ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and uptime while applying lean and continuous improvement to drive long-term operational excellence. Responsibilities Oversee operation, maintenance, and reliability of plant utilities, building systems, and production support equipment for titanium casting operations Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and support 24/7 manufacturing demands Lead and coordinate facilities projects, including equipment installation, infrastructure upgrades, and layout improvements Collaborate with EHS and operations teams to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and HVAC issues and drive root-cause analysis for recurring problems Manage outside contractors and vendors, including scope definition, bidding, scheduling, and performance oversight Support capital planning, budgeting, and cost control for facilities and utilities projects Apply lean and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance equipment uptime, energy efficiency, and workplace safety Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and maintenance records for audits and traceability Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and cross-functional teams on facility systems and best practices Required Skills Facilities engineering Industrial utilities (compressed air, vacuum, chilled water, gas) Mechanical systems troubleshooting Electrical systems and controls basics HVAC systems Preventive and predictive maintenance Project management Auto CAD or CAD for facility layouts Root-cause analysis Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement Budgeting and cost control Vendor and contractor management CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) OSHA and environmental compliance Technical documentation
