About the Role As Chief Engineer , you'll lead our engineering TEAM and play a critical role in keeping our hotel safe, comfortable, and operating at its best. You'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operation of the hotel's property, equipment, and mechanical systems while ensuring projects and preventative maintenance are completed efficiently and to a high standard. What You'll Do As Chief Engineer, you will: Oversee the overall maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the hotel Lead, train, and support the Engineering/Maintenance TEAM Assign daily responsibilities and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently Oversee maintenance projects and ensure preventative maintenance is completed accurately and on schedule Inspect equipment, building systems, and property areas to identify potential issues before they become problems Troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems, equipment, and mechanical components Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning hotel environment Ensure all required permits, licenses, inspections, and safety standards are maintained Work closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to support smooth hotel operations Respond to maintenance-related guest requests and concerns with professionalism and excellent customer service Maintain accurate records and documentation related to maintenance and preventative maintenance activities What We're Looking For We're seeking an experienced, hands-on engineering leader who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing both people and property operations.
Ideal candidates will have:
3-4 years of Engineering or Maintenance Management experience , preferably in a luxury or branded hotel environment High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree or technical school experience preferred Any required government-issued licenses, certifications, or permits Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities Experience repairing and maintaining building systems, equipment, and grounds equipment Ability to operate a variety of mechanical equipment, tools, and machinery Ability and willingness to train and develop other TEAM members Strong English communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak fluently Bilingual skills are a plus A hands-on, solutions-oriented approach and commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming hotel environment Ready to Lead Our Engineering TEAM?
