Job Summary Carl's Quality Cooling & Heating is seeking a professional, customer-focused Residential HVAC Comfort Advisor / System Design Specialist to join our growing team in Conroe, Texas. This is an in-home residential HVAC sales role for someone who enjoys helping homeowners make confident, informed decisions about their comfort, efficiency, indoor air quality, and long-term equipment investment. You will meet with customers in their homes, evaluate their comfort concerns, inspect existing HVAC systems, design replacement or upgrade solutions, and present clear options that fit the customer's needs, home, and budget. The ideal candidate is part technical consultant, part relationship builder, and part sales professional. We are looking for someone who can earn trust, communicate clearly, follow a proven process, and represent our company with professionalism, integrity, and care. This is a full-time, year-round position with strong income potential for a motivated, organized, and disciplined sales professional. Your expertise will drive the development of customized HVAC system designs that enhance comfort, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality. Duties Meet with homeowners for scheduled in-home consultations. Evaluate existing HVAC systems, ductwork, comfort concerns, efficiency needs, and indoor air quality opportunities. Perform home comfort assessments, including measurements, load evaluation, attic inspections, equipment inspections, and review of customer concerns. Design customized HVAC replacement and upgrade solutions, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, communicating systems, inverter systems, duct modifications, thermostats, and indoor air quality products. Prepare and present professional proposals with clear options, pricing, financing information, and product recommendations. Educate customers on system performance, efficiency, comfort benefits, warranties, financing, and installation expectations. Close sales by guiding customers through the decision-making process and completing accurate agreements and paperwork. Coordinate with the installation, scheduling, and operations teams to ensure sold projects are set up for success. Follow up with customers before and after installation to support a positive experience. Maintain accurate notes, proposals, lead status updates, and follow-up activity in the company CRM. Manage your sales pipeline with urgency, organization, and consistent communication. Attend sales meetings, trainings, product education sessions, and coaching meetings. Represent the company at customer homes, community events, and occasional weekend appointments as needed. Develop detailed HVAC system designs using advanced software tools, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Conduct analysis of building layouts, airflow, load calculations, and environmental factors to inform design decisions. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and installation guidelines. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC components into residential projects. Assist in product demonstrations and technical sales efforts by showcasing system capabilities to clients and stakeholders. Educate customers by providing technical insights during consultations and proposal presentations. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in residential HVAC system design with a strong understanding of heating, cooling, ventilation, and indoor air quality standards. Preferred Qualifications Residential HVAC sales experience as a Comfort Advisor, System Design Specialist, HVAC Sales Representative, Project Manager, or similar role. Technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems, ductwork, airflow, heat pumps, furnaces, communicating systems, inverter systems, and indoor air quality products. Experience with brands such as Daikin, Amana, Goodman, or similar residential HVAC product lines. Familiarity with HVAC financing, rebates, warranties, permitting, and Texas residential code requirements. HVAC technician background or prior field experience. EPA Section 608 certification, NATE certification, EGIA training, NCI training, manufacturer training, or other industry credentials. Experience in home improvement sales, solar, windows, roofing, plumbing, electrical, or other in-home sales environments. A strong record of customer service, follow-up, and professional presentation. Proven experience in residential HVAC system design with a strong understanding of heating, cooling, ventilation, and indoor air quality standards. Familiarity with HVAC cloud platforms such as Daikin Cloud Services, or similar services for remote monitoring or system management. Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent analysis skills to interpret building data, sensor inputs, and performance metrics effectively. Experience demonstrating products or solutions through technical presentations or live demos to clients or internal teams. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly during sales discussions or client meetings. Required Qualifications Proven sales experience, preferably in consultative, in-home, home services, or high-ticket sales. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in a simple, customer-friendly way. Confidence presenting options, overcoming objections, and asking for the sale. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple appointments, proposals, follow-ups, and customer conversations each day. Comfort using CRM software, email, tablets, mobile apps, and digital proposal tools. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Ability to travel daily throughout Montgomery County and North Harris County. Ability to pass background check and drug screening in accordance with company policy. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to safely access attics, crawl spaces, and mechanical areas when needed. Ability to occasionally lift up to approximately 50 lbs. Compensation This is a commission-based role with strong earning potential. Successful team members have the opportunity to earn six figures annually.
