Job Description

Facilities Engineer I Performs independent maintenance, repair, and operational tasks to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable hospital facilities. Supports compliance with healthcare regulatory standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or trade certification preferred. 2-4 years of facilities or building maintenance experience (healthcare preferred). OSHA 10-hour and ICRA certifications preferred. NFPA 99 and
NFPA 101
awareness training. ASHE Healthcare Physical Environment Worker certification preferred. Facilities Engineer II Serves as a senior-level technical specialist responsible for leading maintenance projects, optimizing system performance, and ensuring compliance with hospital facility codes. Provides technical mentorship, project oversight, and subject matter expertise. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or trade certification preferred. Minimum of three years of progressive facilities engineering experience in a healthcare environment. NFPA 99 Healthcare Facilities Certification preferred. Project Management or Leadership training preferred. Minimum 36 months in Facilities Engineer I role with consistent 'Meets' or 'Exceeds Expectations' rating. Demonstrates ability to manage independent assignments and minor projects. Completion of intermediate training in regulatory compliance or system specialization.
